How to Clean and Protect Glazed Ceramic Decor
Most glazed ceramic decor needs gentle, regular care rather than harsh chemicals. A soft cloth and a stable display position protect both the glaze and the craftsmanship.
Routine dusting
Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth or a soft brush around raised details. Support the piece with both hands when moving it and avoid dragging it across shelves.
When a deeper clean is needed
Use a barely damp cloth with mild soap, then dry immediately. Do not soak pieces with attached hardware, mirrors or porous unglazed areas. Keep cleaning liquids away from electrical or hanging components.
Protect the finish
Avoid abrasive pads, bleach, strong solvents and direct heat. Keep ceramic decor stable, out of high-traffic edges and away from children or pets where a fall could cause injury.
